What is in this video
Danielle (she/her) describes her experience finding and using copay cards as she navigates the medical system. She talks about living with chronic pain, adenomyosis, and endometriosis. Danielle explains that copay cards help bring down the cost of name brand medications. To access a copay card, Danielle starts by googling the name of the medication with the words “copay card.” She clicks on the applicable website (usually of the medication manufacturer), and after answering the questions on the website, a picture will pop up that looks similar to a GoodRx card (e.g., with BIN, PCN, Group, and ID numbers). That virtual card can be saved to a phone wallet, as a screenshot, written down, etc. Finally, she calls her pharmacy and lets them know that she has a copay card for her brand name prescription. The savings she gets from the copay card are a huge help!
